The Ninth Treasure of Keth is an easy-to-miss optional boss in Act 2, but it is well worth finding on most campaign runs. The fight is short, the location is convenient, and the guaranteed Jewel can be useful for improving an early character. If you are trying to build up POE 2 Currency while progressing through the campaign, this encounter is also a nice source of extra loot without taking much time.

The Ninth Treasure of Keth Location

You can find The Ninth Treasure of Keth in The Galleria, a point of interest inside The Lost City in Act 2.

The boss moves through a long hallway, and the nearby checkpoint makes the encounter easy to access. Once you locate the area, remember the route because you can return later if you want to repeat the fight.

Quick Location Checklist:

• Travel to The Lost City.
• Search for The Galleria.
• Follow the long hallway.
• Look for the large jewel-covered beetle.
• Activate the nearby checkpoint before starting the fight.

The encounter is optional, so you will not lose campaign progress by skipping it. However, the guaranteed reward makes stopping here worthwhile for most builds.

What Rewards Does It Drop?

The biggest reason to kill The Ninth Treasure of Keth is the guaranteed Jewel. The boss can drop a Ruby, Emerald, or Sapphire Jewel, which can be socketed into the Passive Skill Tree.

A useful Jewel can make a noticeable difference during Act 2. Depending on its modifiers, it may improve damage, defenses, attributes, or other parts of your setup.

This is especially useful for players who do not want to buy POE 2 Currency just to fill an early gear gap. A good Jewel can provide a cheap power increase while you continue through the campaign.

You will also receive experience and additional equipment or currency drops from the encounter. The exact value varies, but the guaranteed Jewel gives the fight a reliable baseline reward.

How to Beat The Ninth Treasure of Keth

The boss mainly uses electrical attacks and summons smaller Adorned Beetles. The smaller enemies can quickly fill the hallway, so getting trapped is usually more dangerous than the boss itself.

Keep these points in mind:

• Use area skills to clear Adorned Beetles quickly.
• Keep an escape route open.
• Do not stand inside the boss's electrical effects.
• Move away when red energy starts building around it.
• Ranged characters should attack from outside its main attack range.
• Melee builds should avoid staying beside the boss for too long.

The charged attack is the move you should watch most closely. When Keth pauses and begins gathering red energy, create some distance immediately. The explosion that follows can deal heavy damage if you remain nearby.

Use Cold Damage If Possible

The Ninth Treasure of Keth has strong Physical and Lightning resistance, while Cold damage is more effective against it. This makes Cold-based skills particularly useful for the encounter.

You do not need to completely change your build just for this boss. However, if your character already uses Cold abilities, take advantage of them. Applying Chill or simply maintaining consistent Cold damage can shorten the fight considerably.

Is Keth Worth Farming?

For most players, the guaranteed Jewel is the main attraction. It gives campaign characters an early opportunity to obtain a useful socketable item without relying entirely on random drops.

The nearby checkpoint also makes farming practical. After defeating the boss, collect the Jewel and other loot, then create a new instance and return if you want another attempt.

This can be useful when you are looking for extra equipment, experience, or potential tradeable items before moving deeper into the campaign. Players comparing cheap POE 2 Currency options can also use this type of low-investment farming to strengthen a character without spending heavily.

Final Tips

Do not rush through The Lost City without checking The Galleria. The Ninth Treasure of Keth is one of those optional campaign encounters that takes only a few minutes but can give your character a useful upgrade.

Find the checkpoint, clear the smaller beetles first, dodge the charged explosion, and use Cold damage whenever possible. The guaranteed Jewel makes the encounter worthwhile even when the rest of the loot is average.

For players checking POE 2 Currency for sale, campaign bosses like Keth are a reminder that not every useful upgrade needs to come from expensive endgame gear. A well-rolled Jewel, some extra experience, and a few minutes of efficient farming can be enough to make the next part of the campaign noticeably easier.
