Good News! Players can enjoy  ARC Raiders for free for a limited time from October 8 to 12, coinciding with the launch of Frozen Trail. New players can gain immediate access to Pendola Pass if they team up with other players who have unlocked the new map.

Frozen Trail update brings a major new challenge to the game with the introduction of Pendola Pass, a snowy and highly vertical map filled with new threats, weather conditions, and extraction mechanics.

What Makes Pendola Pass Different?

Pendola Pass changes the usual rhythm of an ARC Raiders raid. Instead of simply reaching a familiar extraction point, players need to consider the terrain, weather, enemy pressure, and the new Ballistic Gondola.

The map features a mountainous environment with locations such as an alpine village, town square, observatory, supermarket, and buried train depot. Its vertical design makes positioning especially important, particularly when you're carrying valuable loot and looking for a safe extraction route.

Before entering the new map, make sure your Stash and equipment are properly prepared. If you're looking to upgrade your inventory efficiently, some players may choose to buy ARC Raiders Items rather than spending every raid searching for specific resources.

How the Ballistic Gondola Extraction Works

The Ballistic Gondola is one of the most important additions in Frozen Trail. Unlike a conventional stationary extraction point, it must be called in and then boarded when it arrives.

Each gondola has room for three Raiders, making a full three-player squad particularly useful. Once summoned, the extraction becomes a visible and potentially contested objective. Other Raiders nearby may recognize that someone is preparing to leave and move toward the station.

For this reason, don't immediately call the gondola as soon as you reach the station. First, check nearby buildings, rooftops, and possible approaches. Once the area looks relatively clear, call the gondola and prepare for a short boarding window.

Players can use this preparation time to optimize their ARC Raiders items, better equipping themselves to face the challenges of Pandora Pass.

Another major feature of Pendola Pass is Flash Freeze. This weather condition increases the pressure on Raiders and can force players toward Avalanche Shelters for protection.

The safest approach is to keep the weather cycle in mind throughout your raid. Avoid traveling too far from potential shelter locations when a Flash Freeze may occur, especially if you're already carrying valuable loot.

The combination of Flash Freeze, limited extraction capacity, and rival Raiders means that surviving the raid isn't necessarily the final challenge—the extraction itself can become the most dangerous moment.

Frozen Trail also introduces mechanics that can influence fights around the Ballistic Gondola. The Yank Grenade and Tether Launcher can affect player positioning, making open areas around extraction points particularly risky.

Keep cover nearby whenever possible and avoid standing directly in exposed boarding areas. If another squad controls the station, consider repositioning instead of forcing an unfavorable fight.

The key to Frozen Trail is preparation. Enter Pendola Pass with enough supplies, learn the locations of Avalanche Shelters, watch for Flash Freeze, and always have an extraction plan.

A three-player squad can make the Ballistic Gondola easier to manage because its capacity matches a full team. However, solo players should be especially careful because unused seats may attract other Raiders.

Whether you're farming resources, exploring the new map, or preparing for the endgame content, knowing when to fight and when to extract is essential. If you have limited preparation time, you can buy ARC Raiders Blueprints to get ready for Frozen Trail more quickly.
